For medical societies & research programs
I build data integrations and reporting automation.
I connect existing systems, automate calculations, and turn collected data into usable reports, including custom integrations around REDCap.
From existing systems to usable reports
Source data
Your team collects data in the systems it already uses, such as a registry, database, or spreadsheet.
Connected
I build integrations that retrieve and prepare that data for reporting, with checks for missing inputs and unexpected values.
Processed
I automate the agreed calculations and checks, so staff can spend less time compiling figures.
Ready for review
Quality indicators, summaries, and reports give the program office a starting point for its decisions.
Connect your systems
API integrations and data workflows that connect existing systems, including REDCap, to the software your program needs.
Automate the reporting
Quality-indicator calculations, activity summaries, and scheduled reports built around your program’s rules.
Plan for changes
Scheduled changes as your program evolves, with documentation, a defined scope, and agreed delivery dates.
From source records to a study timeline
A research program needs to see when studies expect to enroll participants and which dates need clarification. An integration retrieves the source records, prepares a timeline, and checks the report before it is shared.
Bars show planned enrollment windows. Counts include each study from its start month through its end month.
| Study | Sep 2026 | Oct 2026 | Nov 2026 | Dec 2026 | Jan 2027 | Feb 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Study A | In enrollment window | In enrollment window | In enrollment window | Outside enrollment window | Outside enrollment window | Outside enrollment window |
| Study B | Outside enrollment window | In enrollment window | In enrollment window | In enrollment window | Outside enrollment window | Outside enrollment window |
| Study C | Outside enrollment window | Outside enrollment window | Outside enrollment window | In enrollment window | In enrollment window | In enrollment window |
| Studies in window | 1 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 1 |
Scroll the timeline to see all months.
Needs clarification
Study D has no start date. It appears in the review list and is excluded from the timeline and monthly counts until its dates are complete.
Checked against the source
4 source records accounted for: 3 plotted and 1 flagged. Monthly counts match the plotted windows. A failed verification check would block publication.
- RetrieveRead records through an API, such as REDCap’s, on an agreed schedule.
- ProcessInterpret dates, apply inclusion rules, and separate records needing review.
- Verify and shareCheck the generated workbook against the source data before uploading it.
This is a static illustration of an automated reporting workflow. The studies, dates, and layout were created for this site; no client data or client report is shown.
Explore integration and reporting servicesHow I check the work
I turn agreed rules into explicit calculations and test them against expected results, including missing data and boundary cases. Changes live in source control so they can be reviewed.
I build checks into reporting workflows: compare totals with the source records, flag incomplete inputs, and stop publication when required checks fail. Documentation explains what the report includes and how its figures are calculated.
Work directly with me
I’m Jacob Sloan. My background is in financial-crime technology, building systems for investigations, fraud detection, and compliance automation. I bring that experience to data integrations and reporting automation for medical societies and research programs.
You work with me from understanding the process to delivery and planned maintenance. Source, configuration, and documentation are handed over as the work progresses.
